A Cowboy Way...Halloween 2011

A Cowboy Way...Halloween 2011
January 31, 2012

I’m still playing catch up.  Here’s a brief Halloween recap!

Our sweet little boy is growing way to fast!  If you aren't aware, I’m completely OCD and love to plan parties, especially Graham’s birthday parties.  I started browsing in June (obnoxious, I know) for his 3rd birthday party idea and fell in love with a cowboy theme.  Once selected, I started looking for Halloween costume ideas. I figured this would be my last year to pick Graham’s costume…boy was I wrong…

I fell in love with an adorable cow costume from Pottery Barn Kids that would have matched his Kleinpeter Milk Carton costume from 2010…it was perfect!

2010

Graham, however, had a different idea.  When I told him one week he was going to be a cow for Halloween and the next week he was having a Cowboy 3rd Birthday party, he informed me he was going to be a cowboy not a cow for Halloween.  I didn’t argue.  So much for picking the costume ever again, but maybe I’ll have a chance for one more birthday party…

Here are some pics from our many Halloween celebrations.  Another thing about me: I LOVE HALLOWEEN.  It is my favorite holiday.

Please notice part of my "inheritance" from my parents - porcelain Jack-O-Lanterns that light up.  LOVE THEM.  I am thankful that my sisters didn't want to split the set and gave them to me for use!
Thanks mom & dad!

Pauly Shore anyone?

We had a blast and our cowboy was adorable!

LSU Homecoming – November 12, 2011

LSU Homecoming – November 12, 2011
January 4, 2012

Here’s my attempt to update you on our fall of 2011.  J  Graham had a blast during Homecoming 2011.  First, we went to the DZ House for our Family and Alumnae Day.  Food was catered by Heirloom Cuisine and it was DELICIOUS.  (I forgot to take a picture, but trust me, it looked good too!) While Graham and I walked to see a few of the sorority house decorations, cousin Brooke’s girls – Jolee & Jadee Beth passed by!  They showed up and watched the parade from the DZ house!  Graham wasn’t so keen on the loud noises but he enjoyed the parade none the less.

his button says DZ love the Tigers!

Didn’t DZ Sigma Chapter do great on the lawn decorations?  I bet it’s because of the hot chocolate they got that week!

After the parade, we headed to see Granny and Poppa Landreneau and our other friends at the 4-H Day with the Tigers with the LSU AgCenter.  4-H was a vital part of my upbringing and is still such a great program for young people.  I was amazed by the number of people there.  It was lots of fun for both the kids and adults!  Graham enjoyed “fishing” but was bummed he wasn’t ‘quite’ tall enough for the rock climbing wall!

Later in the day, we headed to the football game.  Nene (Ben’s mom) couldn’t attend, so Graham sat with Pops…for most of the game.  Note he’s still covering his ears – this time from the cannon when the Tigers take the field!  We had a great day!

now the buttons says "sometimes I ask myself, what would the honey badger do?"

Graham slept WELL that night!

Until next time!

(*Please leave me a comment if you know how to rotate pics once uploaded...I couldn't figure it out!)

New Year, Same Football Season

New Year, Same Football Season
January 4, 2012

I know I said I’d be blogging more regularly during my last post, BUT life’s been busy.  There’s no need for excuses so I’ll save you that and just say I’m sorry.  Before we start talking about the holidays (which were amazingly fun with Graham and delicious thanks to Pinterest), I wanted to let you all know that Graham got over his fear of Mike the Tiger!  He also thinks that HCLM and the LSU cheerleaders are his personal property.  Plus, we are still having a blast with the upcoming BCS game…It’s quite fun being the best football team in all the land.  Here are a few photos (too many I’m sure) of our season!  Geaux Tigers!

Until next time…
